Introduction
Description
LA-1397 is a 100% active, hydroxyl-terminated polyester-silicone oil. It features a linear structure, with functional groups located exclusively at the ends of the polymer chains. It is designed for the modification of organic resins—particularly thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and solvent-borne polyurethane (PU) resins—imparting smoothness and anti-blocking properties, while also serving as a lubricant for the processing of synthetic fibers and plastics.
Application
- Used in polyurethane resins (such as TPU) to alleviate internal stress.
- Serves as an internal release agent and lubricant for hot-melt and injection-molded plastic products.
- Used in non-aqueous polyurethane resins to improve anti-blocking properties.
- Enhances the flow characteristics and mold-filling leveling of PU and TPU resins.
- Improves the surface slip (smooth feel) of PU and TPU resins.
- Enhances the wear and scratch resistance of the resins.

Key Features
- Due to its modification, it undergoes an anchoring reaction during the curing process with film-forming agents, ensuring long-lasting performance.
- When blended with film-forming agents and resin carriers, it does not migrate—unlike dimethyl silicone oil.
- It exhibits higher thermal stability than conventional lubricants such as butyl stearate, mineral oils, and organic copolymers.
- It offers superior thermal stability compared to standard polyether-modified silicone oils..
Package
The LA-1397 anti-fingerprint additive is available in 25kg(55lb) and 200kg (440lb )plastic drums.
Storage and Expiration Date
When stored in unopened original containers at temperatures below 32°C (90°F), the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture.
